PDC/DPA Grand Prix

KYLE ANDERSON and Gordon Mathers shared the spoils at the latest DPA Australian Grand Prix weekend, held at the Warilla Bowls Club in Wollongong.

Mathers consolidated his position behind Anderson as second in the DPA Order of Merit by defeating the AGP leader 6-3 to win Saturday's final in Warilla, also seeing off Craig Prizeman, Jamie Rundle and Kyle Munro in the latter stages.

Prizeman would avenge that defeat 24 hours later in his run to the semis of Sunday's event, where he went down 6-3 to Jamie Rundle.

Rundle, though, lost out in a deciding leg to in-form Anderson in the final, as the 25-year-old continued his brilliant year by claiming another title.

The next DPA weekend will be the DPA Dosh Open in Perth on August 3-4, which will be the final events before the Sydney Darts Masters Qualifiers begin at Warilla on August 25.

With Anderson and Mathers assured of their places in the top two of the DPA Order of Merit, the third qualifying place alongside them for the Sydney Darts Masters remains open - with Tic Bridge currently 20 points clear of John Bunyard, while Craig Prizeman, Jamie Rundle and Darren Kirk could still claim third spot if they win both events in Perth.
