3 More Inducted into the Winmau/BDO 9-Dart Club

GLEN DURRANT and CLAIRE STAINSBY made darts history by hitting the first ever 9-Dart 501 in Mixed Doubles at the 2013 BDO International Open, and now they have made even more history as the first ever Mixed Pairs team to be inaugurated into the Winmau 9-Dart Club.

And, just for good measure, Glen is the first 9-Dart Club member to be inaugurated twice in the same season after hitting a solo 9 Darter at the 2013 EDO England Open.

Making it a 9-Dart Club hat-trick, GARY STONE hit yet another one at the 2013 Scottish Masters, which wasn't in the original list of qualifying tournaments, but has now been included.

Glen, Claire and Gary will all be presented with laser-engraved Winmau darts and commemorative cases as permanent souvenirs of their achievements.

Ian Flack, Sales & Marketing Director of Winmau says: "We only launched the 9-Dart Club this year and BDO players are already demonstrating just what great players they are - none more so than Glen and Claire, whose Mixed Doubles 9 Dart 501 was made even more incredible by the fact that Glen opened with a 177 and it was Claire who hit the crucial 180 before Glen finished off in style with the 144 checkout.

"Then a couple of weeks later he hit his own 9-Dart 501 at the BDO British International!

"Although the Scottish Masters was not on our original list of events, we simply had to include Gary Stone's outstanding achievement at the Scottish Masters.

"Great darts from great darts players!"
