PHILIPPINES ace Christian Perez won Stage Seven of DARTSLIVE - THE WORLD as he defeated Lourence Ilagan in the final in Hong Kong.
The former World Championship qualifier overcame his fellow countryman 3-2 in the decider, denying Ilagan a third successive stage win in the event, which will culminate with the Grand Final in December in Hong Kong.
The pair shared the the first four legs of the final, with Ilagan taking the opening leg of 701 before Perez levelled in the first Cricket game.
Ilagan then won the second Cricket leg to move 2-1 up, before Perez levelled by taking the second 701 leg and came from behind to win the deciding leg of Cricket.
"I feel great to have won this stage," said Perez. "I'm still learning the tactics of Cricket but I think my last game of Cricket was good against Lourence, and I'm happy that it came together."
Ilagan's run to the final means that he has moved onto 98 points in THE WORLD rankings above Paul Lim (97), with the leading player following Stage Eight on November 3 qualifying for the 2014 Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.
Japan's Takehiro Suzuki is ranked third, with Croatia's Boris Krcmar and American ace Scott Kirchner completing the current top five.
