Andy Hamilton v Adrian Lewis
Robert Thornton v Raymond van Barneveld
Adrian Lewis v Simon Whitlock
Phil Taylor v James Wade
Michael van Gerwen v Robert Thornton
Simon Whitlock v Raymond van Barneveld
Week 14 has arrived, the last full week of the League before the play-off's. 3 players already have a big fat Q next to there name, 3 still have to slug it out for the last position. It will be like the gun fight at the O.K. Coral... but with darts. Which one Will be left standing after all the darts slinging has finished?
To start the night off we have Hamilton v Lewis. Both are out of the running now, but there is still pride to fight for. Both of these Stokies will battle till the very end we know that, the question is who will battle harder. Jackpot has had another good weekend at the Players qualifiers in Wigan, I know 2 weekend in a row, what ever next. While the Hammer has just plodded along doing his own thing. This match could be anybodies, get this match right on the betting slip and you could have it made!
Second on Is Thornton v Barney. The Thorn, last week couldn't hit the side of a barn for the first 7 legs, then he came alive but had left it too late. He needs to race out of the blocks in his first match, he needs the win to creep into the final spot. Barney is in, hes made it to the O2 already. Will he let Thornton have an easy ride?... I doubt it, but the Thorn is more than capable to give the Dutchman a good battle.
Lewis v Whitlock is the next match up. This will be Jackpot's second match of the night and he gets it out of the way early on. The Wizard needs this win to have any chance of making it to the play-off's. He has an outside chance of making it if he beats Lewis and Barney. Lewis wont go away quietly. He loves a good fight. Someone is going to end up being the baddie after this night is over for stopping someone else from making it to London..... Will it be Lewis??
The potential match of the night could be Taylor v Wade, That's if the real James Wade turns up! Over the past few weeks the Machine has just been a body on stage, his body language all over the place. Taylor on the other hand as come back into some sort of form, although last weekend at Wigan he suffered. The Power should walk this one if Wadey is still in that frame of mind. If Wade loses this he is out of the top 4 and in deep trouble.
MvG v Thornton could also be a cracker of a game. MvG is the man of the moment. The top dog. The one to be beaten. Thornton is the wee Scotsman with true grit and magic arrers. This match will be a high scoring affair without doubt. Both have had good Wigan weekends with the Thorn winning on the Saturday and MvG winning on Sunday. This is one for the brave amongst you to bet on.
Whitlock v Barney finishes the night off. With both players having played already could this be the telling factor? Probably but in whose favour, that's the question. The Wizard need this win, Barney doesn't. Both have the knack of taking out high checkouts at the drop of a hat, But then on the other hand if they are off there game it could be a long match.
So there you have it. Judgement night part 2. On paper it has awesomeness written all over it, but we have been here before, and sometimes we get let down. Has John Wayne once said 'darts is a funny old game. You chuck the Tungsten, its sheer luck and a bit of skill that makes it land where it does, partner'.
