PDC Austrian Darts Open- Revised Draw

PHIL TAYLOR, Adrian Lewis and Simon Whitlock have withdrawn from the Austrian Darts Open event in Wiener Neustadt this weekend.

As a result of their withdrawal, three further places will be on offer in Thursday's final qualifying events as direct replacements for the trio.

Two additional European Qualifiers and one further Host Nation Qualifier will now win places in the £100,000 event's first round as a result of the withdrawals.

Jim Walker and Steve Hine will both play European Qualifiers, while Steve Beaton comes up against an Austrian player who will come through the Host Nation Qualifier.

The Austrian Darts Open will kick off on Friday May 31, with the first round games being split across two sessions at the Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt, with ten matches per session taking place on the Main Stage.

DartsLive Stage 2

SCOTT KIRCHNER won his second DARTSLIVE event of 2013 with triumph in Stage Two of DARTSLIVE - THE WORLD in Hong Kong.

Kirchner followed up March's win in the SUPER DARTS event by coming through the 128-player field of over 20 nationalities to win £8,500 in prize money.

American Kirchner, the number one seed for the event, defeated Singapore's legendary Paul Lim 3-0 in the final of the event, and also saw off Japanese soft darts star Mitsumasa Hoshino by the same scoreline in the semis.

"I am playing very well right now," said a delighted Kirchner. "I have been playing in tournaments for the past two months and have been finishing very well.

"My motivation was to win a stage of The World and I work hard everyday to achieve my goal. I cannot thank DARTSLIVE enough for giving us players the opportunity to play in these great events."

Lim, a former soft darts champion who returned to the PDC World Championship stage last December, also overcame Japanese opposition in the semis as he defeated Takehiro Suzuki.

DARTSLIVE - THE WORLD is the world's biggest soft-tip tournament, offering over £300,000 in prize money across eight stages and the Grand Final, which will be held on December 14-15 in Hong Kong and contested by the top 100 ranked players.

Stage Three will be held in La Rochelle, France on June 15-16, where a 256-player field will compete alongside over 7,000 players who will be contesting the DARTSLIVE French League Finals on the same weekend.

Another Top Title for Stephen Bunting

STEPHEN BUNTING more than justified his BDO No.1 ranking when he won the 2013 Welsh Open Men's Singles title after a hard-fought 6-5 victory over Robbie Green.

Since being crowned 2012 Winmau World Master last October, Stephen's titles have included the Sunparks Masters and Zuiderduin Masters, both in 2012, and this year in addition to the Welsh Open, he has won the Isle-of-Man Open and the Mariflex Open, as well as being runner-up in the German Open and Top of Ghent.

AILEEN de GRAAF is the new toast of Dutch ladies darts after her win over Welsh favourite Julie Gore in the Welsh Open Ladies Singles final. Having enjoyed victories in the Sunparks and Denmark Opens, she was runner-up in last year's Zuiderduin Masters and has claimed Semi-Final spots in the Dutch Open, Czech Open and Polish Open to take her to the No.2 spot in the Ladies rankings after her Welsh Open victory.

PDC Players Championship- 4

JAMIE CAVEN completed a memorable weekend double at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan as he backed up Saturday’s victory by taking the £10,000 first prize on Sunday, after a 6-4 victory over Jelle Klaasen in the final.

Caven - whose victory on Saturday ended a two-year gap without a ranking title - continued his form of 24 hours earlier as he comfortably defeated Ricky Sudale, Magnus Caris and Keegan Brown to reach the last 16.

The Derby-based thrower then overcame Kenny MacNeil by a 6-4 margin before producing a superb display to dismiss Robert Thornton for a second day in a row thanks to a 6-1 triumph.

Caven ended Alex Roy’s brilliant day with a 6-3 win in the semi-finals to set-up a final against Klaasen, in what was to prove a high-quality contest.

PDC McCoys Premier League- Finals Night Preview

So after 14 weeks, the night is upon us. Finals night at the O2. We have been waiting a long time for this night to arrive and we have seen 10 Gladiators battle it out week in week out. Its come down to just 4 of the best to slug it out for the top prize.

Raymond van Barneveld v Phil Taylor
Michael van Gerwen v James Wade

Its Holland v England. The four top players in the world. All capable of taking the crown, its all down to who can hold there nerve and reach the top.

First match on stage is the old classic of van Barneveld v Taylor. These two have had many battles over the years with the Power coming out on top most of the time. Barney has a problem with Taylor, its the whole Superman-Kryptonite thing. The Power has this affect on Barney. His head drops and he gets this confused look on his face whenever he is on the Oche with Phil. Phil knows this and plays on it very well. But this year things have changed. Barney seem stronger and throwing like a dream. Could this be the Dutchman's year? Taylor's form of late has been up and down to say the least, he has used 3 darts set-ups over the 14 weeks but seem to make them work when he needs them to. Barney was a tinker man, but has left his set-up alone so far and its paid off for him. This match could go either way, it will be a true battle of 2 living greats.

The second match is MvG against Wade. MvG is the man. The one to beat. The mighty Green dude. Wade is.... well Wade. He's lucky to be in the finals after the last few weeks performances, but he scrapped through by the hairs on his chinny chin chin.
This looks like its a Mighty Mike win all over it, the Machine will have other ideas. He has been here before remember. Will the fast flowing throw of MvG be to much for wade? Well when Wade is on form he is the same, rarely missing anything. Lets hope its this Wade that turns up and puts up a hard fought Tungsten Chucking session that we will all talk about for weeks.

The other match of the night apart from the Premier league final is the Youth Final. This is being fought against Michael 'Bully boy' Smith and Ricky 'Swampy' Evans. Maybe not many of us have heard of these two young guns, but believe me they have been making big waves on the circuit the past 12 months or so. Bully Boy is the protege of Gary Anderson. Gary has taken Smith under his wing and shown him the way of the force, like Yoda and Luke Skywalker with great success so far. Swampy is a #TeamNevada player, with the likes of Stephen Bunting and Jim Walker in the stable, he's had a good run at everything he's entered in so far. Oh, and if you think van Der Voort throws fast, you ain't seen nothing yet! I'm going for this match to be the match of the night, Forget about those old blokes before them. This. Will be a spectacle you will not want to miss.

And with the Premier League final over, that brings to an end of 15 weeks of awesome arrers. What will we all do now?? Well we don't have to long to wait till the Speedy Services UK Open kicks off in Bolton when it will all start again!
